Twelve months of giving

The Grand Foundation is happy to launch
Twelve Months of Giving for 2019!

Each month this year we will highlight a different non-profit group and spread the word about all the wonderful happenings that are going on in the communities that Grand Appliance stores are located. The Grand Foundation will support the chosen organization by donating to them and providing information to our supporters about these groups if people also choose to donate, volunteer, etc.

If you would like a chance to be highlighted for the Twelve Months of Giving for 2020 apply now!

The Grand Foundation is happy to feature the Little Sisters of the Poor and St. Augustine Home in Indianapolis, IN for the month of August. We are thrilled to partner with the sisters as they work to compassionately provide care for the elderly.

The Little Sisters of the Poor are an international group of Roman Catholic women founded in 1839. Together with a diverse network of collaborators, they serve the elderly poor in over 30 countries around the world.  Their MISSION is to offer the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed, cared for as family and accompanied with dignity.  This is all reflected in care that is holistic and person-centered.

At St. Augustine Home (the local Indianapolis chapter) the Little Sisters of the Poor nurture communities where each person is valued. The solidarity of the human family and the wisdom of age are celebrated.  A spirit of joyful hospitality of embracing ALL with open arms is the foundation of St. Augustine Home.  They reject all forms of discrimination and welcome all low-income elderly of at least 65 years of age regardless of race or religion.  The Little Sisters of the Poor hold the desire to raise others up and to put their needs before their own.  At St. Augustine Home it is their goal that no one die alone.
